Courses and programs recognised by the NSW Institute of Teachers can be used to fulfil the requirements of the Institute in professional development. Teachers, theological educators, teacher educators and school leaders design our courses, which are approved by the Anglican Education Commission’s Academic Board. The courses have been written with the input of Heads of Anglican Schools. Courses are open to teachers and school leaders from Anglican and other schools. Other interested participants are also welcome [for example, tertiary students in teacher training or those qualified in other professions who are considering teaching].
Anglican Teacher Education Certificates will be made available to all participants who fulfil course requirements. The Commission is working towards being able to accumulate its PD courses to count towards a further qualification in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
