The staff employed by the Commission are experienced in providing consultancy support for schools and a number of them have had experience in reviewing school practices. A modest fee is charged to cover the costs of this service.

Some of the areas in which schools may wish to consider contracting the Commission to provide consultancy support include:

  • The development and implementation of a Christian ethos
  • Thinking and teaching Christianly
  • Governing Christianly in an Anglican school
  • Classroom management and pedagogy

The Commission has developed a School Review process whereby a panel of external reviewers (drawn from current and recently retired senior Christian educators) can, through surveying and talking with staff, parents and students; observing lessons and other school activities; talking with groups of staff and the Executive, and looking at the school's documentation, prepare a comprehensive report to facilitate the school's on-going improvement program.

In its short life, the Commission has been involves in the review of four schools belonging to the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation (SASC), but is keen to conduct reviews of other schools.
